Suzy Barile

After a 25-year career as a newspaper reporter and editor, Suzy Barile now teaches English and journalism at Wake Tech Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is a graduate of the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and earned a master’s degree from North Carolina State University.

She contributed to the North Carolina Encyclopedia (ed. William S. Powell) and the Book of American Traditions (ed. Emyl Jenkins). In 2001, she won a Paul Green Multi-Media Award from the N.C. Society of Historians for her presentation of “The Governor’s Daughter and The Yankee General.” She lives in Cary, North Carolina.
