Jennifer Bean Bower is a history lecturer and the award-winning author of Winston and Salem: Tales of Murder, Mystery, and Mayhem (The History Press, 2007) and Moravians in North Carolina (Arcadia, 2006). Bower has served as associate curator of photographic archives and visual resources at Old Salem Museums & Gardens, executive secretary to the president at Wachovia Historical Society, researcher at the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts, and historical interpreter at Historic Bethabara Park. She lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
