Robert Brandt

Robert Brandt, author of Touring the Middle Tennessee BackroadsRobert Brandt is a member of Trauger & Tuke, where his practice focuses primarily on alternative dispute resolution. Before joining Trauger & Tuke in 1997, Professor Brandt served as a judge of the Chancery Court in Nashville from 1976 to 1996, and as a senior judge from 1996 to 1997. He was in private practice in Nashville from 1970 to 1976 and served as an Assistant District Attorney in Nashville from 1966 to 1970.

Over the course of his legal career, Professor Brandt has served as President of the Tennessee Judicial Conference, as Nashville's Presiding Judge, and as chair of Nashville's Justice Information System. He also served as a member of the Tennessee Judicial Council and as a delegate to the 1971 Tennessee Constitutional Convention.  

At Vanderbilt, Professor Brandt teaches Mediation.

His articles have appeared in such magazines as Tennessee Historical Quarterly, Tennessee Conservationist, and Sierra.
