He has worked for the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Charlotte (NC) Observer; the Greenville (SC) News, the Greensboro (NC) News & Record and the Asheville (NC) Citizen Times. For more than 40 years he was a sports editor and columnist. His work won numerous awards and he was named North Carolina Sports Writer of the Year 5 times. He also served as director of public relations for the Atlanta Falcons and the Baltimore Colts. He lives in Kernersville, NC.
