Claude Lafie Crum

Claude Lafie Crum, author of With Pen in HandClaude Lafie Crum is Assistant Professor of English at Alice Lloyd College in Pippa Passes, Kentucky. He has published stories and essays in Modern Mountain Magazine, Appalachian Heritage, Chaffin Journal, and Appalachian Journal. He published a critical study entitled: River of Words: James Still’s Literary Legacy.  In addition, Crum published a series of essays in three of the “It Works for Me: Shared Tips for Teaching” books. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Alice Lloyd College, a master’s degree in creative writing from Eastern Kentucky University and a Ph.D. in American literature from Middle Tennessee State University.
