Anthony "Tony" Dunbar
Attorney and writer Anthony Dunbar is the author of a series of mystery novels set in New Orleans featuring local lawyer Tubby Dubonnet. His books have been nominated for both the Arthur Conan Doyle and Edgar Allan Poe Awards and his latest, Tubby Meets Katrina is the first New Orleans novel set in the storm. Dunbar is also the Lillian Smith Book Award-winning author of books about the South, civil rights, and protest, including Mississippi: Our Land, Too; Delta Time; Hard Traveling: Migrant Farm Workers in America; and Against The Grain: Southern Radicals and Prophets. He is the editor of Where We Stand: Voices of Southern Dissent (foreword by President Jimmy Carter). Dunbar lives in the new New Orleans with his wife and son.
