M. Anna Fariello is visiting associate professor with Special Collections at Western Carolina University’s Hunter Library, where she is directing a project on regional heritage. She is a former research fellow with the Smithsonian American Art Museum, a former field researcher for the Smithsonian Folklife Center, and a former Fulbright fellow.
