Fannie Flono
Fannie Flono is an associate editor for The Charlotte Observer, and has won awards for her investigative reporting, education reporting, and column writing.
In the fall of 1998 and spring of 1999, she was one of 24 American and foreign journalists chosen as a Nieman Fellow, and attended Harvard University where she studied the impact of race and class on public school education.
In September of 2005, she was one of nine American journalists selected for a study tour of China by the East-West Center, the Asia Pacific Foundation, and the Better Hong Kong Foundation.
A native of Georgia, she lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.
