John A. Henderson, MD was an Air Force Flight Surgeon and General Surgeon. He graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1945. He interned at the Research and Educational Hospital, Chicago, IL; and was a surgical resident at Scott and White Clinic, Temple, TX. During his Air Force career, he served in England, Spain, and Japan. After retiring from the Air Force, Henderson practiced surgery in Asheville, North Carolina. He also served as the medical examiner for Buncombe County, North Carolina. Dr. Henderson died in 2008.
