Randell Jones

Randell JonesRandell Jones is an author and storyteller. He is past president of the Overmountain Victory Trail Association, founded in the mid-1970s to promote national recognition for the Overmountain Men of 1780 whose two-week campaign across the Appalachians in pursuit of British Major Patrick Ferguson resulted in the Battle of Kings Mountain, a Patriot victory regarded by many historians as the turning point in the American Revolution.

He lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from UNC-Chapel Hill. His ancestors lived in East Tennessee during the time David Crockett was there.

Randell speaks to groups of varying size on topics related to American heritage. In April 2006, he was the luncheon speaker for the annual convention of NC chapters, Sons of the American Revolution. If you would like him to speak to your group, please contact him at DBooneFootsteps@aol.com.
