Victoria & Frank Logue
Besides being avid outdoors people and intrepid travelers, Victoria and Frank Logue are the authors of numerous books about camping and backpacking. Together their books include Georgia Outdoors and The Appalachian Trail Backpacker, while Victoria is the author of Camping in the ‘90s and Backpacking in the ‘90s.
The Logues have supplied writing and photography to a number of regional and national magazines including Outdoor Traveler and Backpacker. They have appeared on CNN and numerous local TV and talk radio shows. The Logues were also guests on the Discovery Channel's series, “Go For It.” For more than two years, the Logues hosted a weekly online chat on long-distance hiking for Backpacker magazine.
Frank served for four years as a member of the Appalachian Trail Conference's Board of Managers (through July 1999) and as a member of the ATC's Publications Committee for eight years. Frank graduated from Virginia Theological Seminary in May of 2000 with a Master of Divinity. He was ordained a deacon in the Episcopal Church in February of 2000 and to the priesthood in August of that year. Frank is currently working as the pastor of King of Peace Episcopal Church, which is on the web at www.kingofpeace.org and his daily updated church blog is Irenic Thoughts online at http://kingofpeace.blogspot.com/
Victoria served as editor of Georgia's Coastal Illustrated, a bi-weekly newspaper which covers arts, entertainment and events on St. Simon's Island, Sea Island and Jekyll Island. She has left that to work freelance again continues to write and keep books up to date while working on fiction as well. Her personal website is here: Victoria Logue. In their free time, they continue to enjoy sharing their love of the outdoors with their seventeen-year old daughter Griffin. She is the webmaster of the award-winning PlanetAnimals.com but spends her time these days with acting, writing, photography and when opportunity presents, travel.
