Born and raised in Yardley, Pennsylvania, Deron Nardo received his BS in marketing from Loyola College in Maryland and completed a masters degree in communications at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. An avid snowboarder, Deron has lived in Sun Valley, Idaho, and Denver, Colorado. His passion for the outdoors was piqued during a summer-long, solo drive across the western United States, during which he camped, biked, and hiked to his heart’s content. Deron currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his dog, Fiya, who has proven to be his favorite conversationalist. (She always listens.) Forays into the freelance writing world have landed Deron in Charlotte magazine and on WFAE in Charlotte as an NPR commentator.
