Steven Nickel
Steven Nickel is a freelance writer living in Janesville, Wisconsin. As a native Clevelander, Nickel remembers warnings from his early childhood not to venture into Kingsbury Run, the area where several of the Torso Murderer’s victims were found. He became interested in the case while researching an article about Eliot Ness for American History Illustrated. Since the publication of his book, Torso, Nickel has appeared as an expert on the Torso Murderer story for several television documentaries, including segments of Unsolved Mysteries and The History Channel’s Perfect Crimes?.
