The late filmmaker Nicholas Cabell Read and his wife, the writer Dallas Read, collaborated on many projects, covering most of the continents of the world. They worked together on Deep Family until Mr. Read’s death in 1998. Mrs. Read, now in her nineties, lives and writes in Bethesda, Maryland.
