David Rigsbee

In addition to his poetry collections, David Rigsbee is the author of four chapbooks and two works of criticism and the editor of two anthologies, the more recent of which, Invited Guest: An Anthology of Twentieth Century Southern Poetry, was named a notable university press book by the American Library Association.  He was recently awarded the Sam Ragan Award for Distinguished Service to NC Arts. He is also the winner of the Pound Prize and the Vachel Lindsay Award and has recieved grants and awards from the N.E.A., the N.E.H., and the Academy of American Poets, among others. His work has appeared in publications such as The American Poetry Review, The Georgia Review, The Iowa Review, The New Yorker, The Iowa Review, The Ohio Review, Poetry, Prairie Schooner, The Sewanee Review, and The Southern Review. He lives in Raleigh, NC.
