Kathy B. Steele holds degrees from the University of North Carolina and the University of South Carolina and has worked as everything from waitress to well driller to groundwater geologist to college instructor. Her debut novel, Rocks That Float, won the 2006 IPPY Award for General Fiction.
She lives in rural Edgefield County, South Carolina. This is her first published novel.
