Ann Wicker is a long-time journalist who grew up in Mooresville, North Carolina, and spent many years exploring and writing about life in North and South Carolina. Her love of music began with the Beatles and was sealed with her first major concert in 1966 where she saw a young Jimi Hendrix open for the Monkees. She is a graduate of Davidson College and holds an MFA from Queens University. She lives in Charlotte with her husband, music producer and engineer Mark Williams.
