Charlene Yandell grew up on Long Island, New York, across the street from Ogden Phipps Racing Facility. Her first job as a teenager was walking the racehorses. She later worked at the world-famous Belmont Race Track. She received her art training at the School of Visual Arts in New York. She is now an animal portrait artist and lives on St. Simon’s Island off the coast of Georgia.
