Carol Prejean Zippert

Carol Prejean ZippertCarol Prejean Zippert, born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, has lived in the Black Belt of west Alabama since 1971. She has used her PhD in education to lift the community by serving as a college teacher, as president of a community-based college, and as a county school board member. She works extensively with children, cooperatives, and culture organizations. With her spouse, John Zippert, she publishes a community newspaper, the Greene County Democrat. Her three children and growing number of grandchildren are a special joy in her life.
