Brook Ashley has been a Top Producing Realtor in Santa Barbara for 20 years. She is also a freelance magazine writer, children's book author, book editor, and initiated the "Familiar Faces" column for The Montecito Journal. Brook created the Montecito Star clothing company, and has taught Tae Kwon Do.
Her community work includes past President of The Santa Barbara International Film Festival, and Founder of Wells For India, bringing tube wells to villages surrounding Calcutta. She has served on the boards of The Humane Society of the United States, the Born Free international animal welfare organization, and the Santa Barbara Youth Performing Arts Center.
Brook grew up in New York City, graduating from The Brearley School. She attended George Washington University and Columbia University, and has a BA in Cultural Anthropology.
Prior to her successful career in real estate, she was a professional actress starring on Broadway and television. She and her husband, John Ogilvie, have four children and four grandchildren.
