Sunbeam is the story of a little girl who goes on an emotional roller coaster. She was thrilled when she thought that her father bought her a horse and was devastated when it turned out that the horse was bought by another family in the neighborhood. With her mother's assurance that it is alright to be sad, the little girl learns to overcome her disappointment. Wanda Wyont has an extensive background in teaching early childhood education and has years of experience working with children. She combined these two experiences in writing Sunbeam, a page-turning story. Sunbeam focuses on the main character’s love of horses and her dream of riding a horse. The story of Sunbeam is enhanced by beautiful illustrations drawn by Suzie Huskins, until recently, a resident of Banner Elk, North Carolina.
