The Shining Shining Path is a triumphant blend of magical realism and spiritual adventure which examines the power of love, forgiveness, and redemption in everyday lives.  Its collision of Eastern mysticism and Deep South culture ranges effortlessly from humor to profound emotion.

Praise for The Shining Shining Path:

A deeply original work-—by turns mystical, funny and quite sad, but always impressively written.  Short is a writer of great talent. —
Richard North Patterson

A boldly imaginative metaphysical journey...a spiritual odyssey provocative in its synthesis of Judeo-Christian messianic traditions and Eastern cyclical concepts of history....Short takes risks in a single sentence or paragraph that many authors never attempt in an entire novel.—Publisher's Weekly
