Carolina Country, the monthly magazine published by North Carolina's Touchstone Energy cooperatives, asked their readers to donate pictures for a book depicting life in rural North Carolina before 1970. Families sent Carolina Country copies of their favorite snapshots. The resulting book has 220 duotones, each with a personal caption by its contributor, all presenting a way of life that is almost forgotten today.
Carolina Country reaches 590,000 households in North Carolina and is read by 1.6 million people.
