A classic akin to
Izaak Walton's The Compleat Angler...the bible for North Carolina
bass fishermen. --Gastonia (NC) Gazette
More than a book
on bass fishing, it is also a book about people who have discovered how
to be at peace with themselves, with others and with nature. --The
State, Columbia, South Carolina
If you know
someone who either owns a bass boat or is saving up for one, you need
look no further for the perfect gift for him or her. --Carolina
Country
North Carolina is a bass
fisherman's paradise, and nobody knew more about catching these popular
game fish than Buck Paysour, who fished the state's waters for more than
half a century. This book details all the major waters for catching both
largemouth and smallmouth bass. Buck not only offered his own techniques
and experience but interviewed many of the state's best bass fishermen
and professional guides for theirs. Whether you want to know where to
fish, where to put in your boat, or which lures produce the best
results, you'll get all that and more in these pages.
about the author
Buck Paysour was a reporter and editor for the Charlotte Observer,
the Greensboro News and Record and several other newspapers. He
was the first recipient of the O. J. Coffin scholarship in journalism at
the University of North Carolina, and his work appeared in the New
York Times, the Washington Post, Popular Science, the Chicago
Tribune and the Atlanta Journal. He is also the author of Fly
Fishing in North Carolina and Tar Heel Angler.
